2008 Summer Internship Program
Now Accepting Applications

PGC Internship Policy
PGC Internship Agreement

Once again, as our thoughts turn to spring and gardening, the PGC Summer Internship Program begins, making available opportunities for young people to work at our local community environmental/botanical institutions for two months this summer.

The PGC Summer Internship Program is now in its twelfth year, having co-sponsored more than fifty high school students who are interested in ecology, landscaping, horticulture, and other environmental fields.

Our partners this year are Boscobel Restoration, Constitution Marsh, Glynwood Center, Manitoga, and Stonecrop Gardens. Each organization has its own unique personality, making the task of assigning the intern to the most appropriate place that benefits both the co-sponsor and the wishes of the intern a challenge for the PGC Summer Internship committee.

The Philipstown Garden Club and the sponsoring organizations are offering an opportunity for vocational exploration in the fields of conservation, horticulture, and environmental studies. The Internship Committee strives to make an appropriate match between the applicant and the sponsoring organization. After interviewing the applicants, the Committee will recommend their choice to the sponsoring organization for a final interview.
