PGC Internship Policy

The Philipstown Garden Club and the sponsoring organizations are offering an opportunity for vocational exploration in the fields of conservation, horticulture, and environmental studies. The Internship Committee strives to make an appropriate match between the applicant and the sponsoring organization. After interviewing the applicants, the Committee will recommend their choice to the sponsoring organization for a final interview.

Requirements

1. Applicant must be an entering high school junior, senior, or graduating senior.

2. Applications must be submitted by May 1^st, 2007.

3. Applicant must be available for the entire months of July and August.

4. Alternates who can be considered should internship openings still be available: (Not listed in order of selection)

a. Applicants who submitted late applications

b. College level students

c. Previous internship recipients

5. Upon completing the internship, the intern is to submit a report to the

Internship Committee describing the activities and projects completed during

the summer.
